Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 August 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Shield Edge website and any inspection, quotation, or service you request from Shield Edge Royal Technical Services LLC (“Shield Edge”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Commercial License 1603107, RiseHub 104, Dubai Investment Park Second, Dubai, UAE).
By using our website, requesting an inspection, accepting a quotation, or engaging us for any service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the website or engage our services.
For pricing and payment details, see our Payment Terms. For what’s covered after the work is done, see our Warranty. For how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
Our Services
Shield Edge provides roof waterproofing, roof heatproofing, leak repair, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, renovation, and related property maintenance services for residential and commercial properties across Dubai. Every project starts with an inspection so we can diagnose the actual problem before recommending a fix.
Quotations
Every quotation is based on a site inspection and is specific to the property, scope, and materials described in it. Prices on our website (including the Pricing page) are indicative guides, not binding quotes — your actual price is confirmed after inspection.
Written quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless stated otherwise. A quotation becomes a binding agreement once you accept it in writing (including by email, WhatsApp, or signed acceptance) and, where applicable, pay the deposit set out in our Payment Terms.
Changes to Scope
If we identify additional work once on site, or material costs change materially, we’ll tell you and get your written approval before any additional cost is added — you won’t be charged beyond the agreed quote without confirming it with you first. See Payment Terms for how additional costs are billed.
Your Responsibilities as the Client
To carry out the work safely and on schedule, we need you to:
- Provide safe, reasonable access to the property and work area, including any keys, gate codes, or building/community management approvals needed (for example, community management NOC or contractor access approval in villa communities that require it)
- Tell us about any known hazards, structural issues, or ongoing works on the property that could affect our work
- Ensure water, electricity, and any other utilities needed for the job are available on site
- Obtain any consents needed from a landlord, homeowners’ association, or building management, where you are not the sole owner or decision-maker for the property
- Keep pets and children away from the work area while we’re on site
If we can’t access the property or safely carry out the work because of something outside our control, we may need to reschedule, and this may affect timelines and, where relevant, cost.
Health & Safety
We carry out all work in line with applicable UAE health and safety requirements, including DEWA-compliant electrical work. If we assess a site condition as unsafe to work on, we may pause work until it’s made safe, and we’ll explain why.
Payment
Payment terms, deposits, VAT, and accepted payment methods are set out in full on our Payment Terms page, which forms part of your agreement with us.
Warranty
Our workmanship warranty — 10 years on roof waterproofing and heatproofing, 12 months on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and renovation work — is set out in full on our Warranty page, which forms part of your agreement with us.
Insurance & Limitation of Liability
Shield Edge carries insurance covering the work we do, including roof work, work at height, electrical work, and water damage.
To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, Shield Edge’s total liability to you arising from any project is limited to the total value of the quotation for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income, loss of use of the property, or costs of alternative accommodation, except where such loss arises from our gross negligence or willful misconduct, or where the law does not permit this exclusion (including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
This limitation does not affect your rights under our Warranty or any rights you have under mandatory UAE consumer protection law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Photos, Videos & Marketing Use
We may take before/after photos or videos of our work for quality records, warranty documentation, and marketing (including our website and social media). We won’t include your name, exact address, or other identifying details in marketing use without your consent. If you’d prefer we don’t use photos of your property for marketing, let us know in writing before work begins and we’ll exclude it.
Cancellations & Refunds
See our Payment Terms page for cancellation and refund terms.
We may decline or cancel a project before work begins — for example, if a site inspection reveals the work isn’t something we’re able to safely or properly carry out, or if we can’t reach agreement on scope. In that case, any deposit paid before materials were ordered is refunded in full.
Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform obligations under these Terms where that delay or failure is caused by events beyond their reasonable control, including extreme weather, fire, government action, labor disputes, or supply shortages. Affected timelines will be adjusted accordingly, and we’ll keep you informed.
Intellectual Property
All content on the Shield Edge website — including text, images, logos, and design — is owned by or licensed to Shield Edge and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission, except for your own personal, non-commercial reference.
Website Use
Content on our website is provided for general information about our services and is not a substitute for a site inspection. We take reasonable care to keep it accurate and up to date but don’t guarantee that pricing, availability, or technical information on the site is error-free or current at all times.
You agree not to misuse the website, including attempting to gain unauthorized access to it, scraping or copying its content at scale, or using it in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, we’ll first try to resolve it directly and in good faith — please contact us so we can address it. If it can’t be resolved this way, these Terms, and any dispute arising from them or from our services, are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the applicable laws of the Emirate of Dubai, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with your accepted quotation, our Payment Terms, and our Warranty, make up the entire agreement between you and Shield Edge for the relevant project. If there’s a conflict between these Terms and your specific accepted quotation, the quotation takes priority for matters it specifically addresses.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Changes won’t apply retroactively to a project you’ve already accepted a quotation for.
